On the weekend of 27th January, the walking group had a weekend away in the Quantocks hills, in Somerset.
The Youth Hostel was a nice old building in the middle of nowhere; sadly soon to be closed and converted to private housing.
We walked through woodland and farmland, and along pretty little lanes, then in the afternoon came back along the main ridge of the Quantocks, which was moorland.
We did a shorter walk by the coast, starting near a ruined chantry.
