Lake District (3/6) - Helvellyn via Striding Edge

There was a walking group holiday to the Lake District at the end of July, staying in a hostel in Ambleside

Tuesday 28 July

On the day with the worst weather of the holiday, the four of us in the "A Team" went up Helvellyn (949m) via Striding Edge and back down Swiral Edge and Catstye Cam (890m). It rained continuously all day, mostly quite hard. and with quite strong gusts of wind.

On the way back we saw sheep being herded by five people and about ten dogs, which was quite impressive.
