Lake District (5/6) - Langdale

There was a walking group holiday to the Lake District at the end of July, staying in a hostel in Ambleside

Thursday 30 July

On Thursday Katie and Nicky joined us for a walk from Langdale. Starting at the Old Dungeon Ghyll we walked along the valley to the end and ascended to Angle Tarn, then up to Esk Pike for lunch.

Next, along the ridge, over Bow Fell

and up over Crinkle Crags

We came down the famous "bad step". Matt and I both came down, on slightly different routes, then Matt helped the others down. Here's how you do it:

From there it was easy, one last little crinkle to go over and then back down to the valley.
